Your electric future is coming. The new Range Rover Mild Hybrid uses battery technology to cut fuel consumption, reduce emissions and improve refinement – without you having to plug it in.
It’s a hybrid car which is also known as an MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle). Cleverly it combines Land Rover’s efficient Ingenium petrol and diesel engines with a powerful underfloor battery so the engine can be turned off when coasting, braking, or stationary.
Range Rover is renowned for combining peerless luxury and refinement with traditional all-terrain capability. Now, with the latest 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, enhanced performance and quicker responses go hand-in-hand with improved fuel economy at the pinnacle of the luxury SUV segment.
The latest 400HP Ingenium engine delivers 550Nm of torque that powers the new Range Rover Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) powertrain from 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds and to a top speed of 140mph.
Designed to bring enhanced efficiency to the range, the latest 3.0-litre engine is paired with an electric motor that can harvest energy through deceleration and store it in a 48V battery. This energy can then be re-deployed through torque-assist, reducing CO2 emissions and the work load on the engine.
The latest Range Rover is available to order now, priced from £83,655 On The Road.
